Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana {PMAY} 2019 : The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the scheme PMAY with the aim to provide a house to million of urban poor people and this year set a dead line to achieve this target by the year 2022, the government has identified over 2,508 cities and towns across 26 states in the country and is going to built over 2 million houses. So, if you are one of those who have not own house or living in a parental house and want a construction loan under PMAY scheme this is the right time to apply as the last date to apply for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in 31st March 2022 for LIG & EWS category while last to apply for PMAY for MIG (I and II) category is 31st March 2019.

Section Eligibility Details
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) People who earn an annual household income less than Rs.3 lakh come under the EWS category. However, an applicant claiming to be from EWS needs to provide relevant proof to the government to ascertain their claims.
Light Income Group (LIG) People that fall under LIG category usually have an annual household income ranging between Rs.3 lakh to 6 lakh. Again, to be eligible for consideration, they need to provide sufficient proof of their economic standing.
Medium Income Group (MIG1) Those who earn an annual household income below Rs.12 lakh fall under the MIG1 category. These people can avail loans of up to Rs.9 lakh for the construction of a residence.
Medium Income Group (MIG2) Individuals earning an annual household income between Rs.12 to Rs.18 lakh will fall under MIG2 of the PMAY scheme. These people can avail loans of up to Rs.12 lakh.
Minorities People hailing from minority groups like SC/ST/OBC will fall under minorities. To be considered under the PMAY scheme, these people need to meet to provide relevant caste and income certificates.
Women Women belonging to EWS/LIG categories will be considered if they apply under the PMAY scheme.

Instead of these criteria you have to also meet some common eligibility criteria such as

  • You must be citizen of India
  • You should be above 18+
  • None of your family member should a house on his/her name

List of documents required for PMAY 2019

either you are living in Urban or Rural area these documents will help you to apply for the scheme however if you want to apply for your self then you must need “Aadhaar Card Number” without it you can’t apply, so here is the list of documents required for Pradhan Mantri Away Yojana,

  • PMAY-G application form that is duly filed
  • Ethnic group certificate
  • Income proof
  • ID proof such as aadhaar card, PAN, Driving licence, Voter ID, etc.
  • Income certificate in case income is below taxable limit
  • Address proof
  • Salary certificate
  • 6 months bank account statement
  • IT returns
  • Form 16
  • I.T assessment order
  • Letter on nature if business if applicant is involved in business
  • Financial statement in case of business
  • Plan of construction
  • Certificate claiming the cost of construction
  • Official valuer’s certificate
  • An affidavit stating the neither the applicant nor his family members own a pucca house
  • Receipt of any advance payment made to the builder
  • Construction contract with developer or builder
  • NOC from a housing society
  • Letter pointing out the allocation of property

Online Process to Apply for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

As it’s digital India and almost everyone know the use of Internet they just need a little guidance for any procedure and can do it themselves here I am sharing the step by step details how you can apply for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2019 online yourself.

Step 1: First of all access the official site of “Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs” which can be access from here as well

Step 2: Now go to “Citizen Assessment” link an drop down list will appear infront of you.

Step 3: You have to click on any of the following options

Step 4: Now it will ask for your aadhaar card number and Name as appeared in Aadhaar Card enter the details accordingly fill it in the box accordingly and click on “Check” button as shown in below image.

Step 5: Now the registration form will appear on the computer screen where you have to provide all the details accordingly the form looks similar to this image.

Step 6: After filling form properly at the bottom click in the disclaimer box which have following message

I am aware that any claims regarding my inclusion/exclusion shall remain with State Government/ Urban Local Body and MoHUA is just facilitating in the process and I agree to share my Aadhaar/VID number with PMAY.

Apply via CSC CENTER for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

If you know the online process but not sure about the option what to fill and what to choose in the form don’t worry you have CSC center in your area through them you can also apply for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana the person at the center will charge you Rs. 25 for this service and fill the form on your behalf just provide the information which he asked and use your correct phone number as all alerts and in-query  call will be come on this number, So use the phone which you keeps always.
