New Year

The new year is a marked as the celebration to bring in the new year with joy and excitement. It is celebrated on 31st December from evening till midnight and as soon as the clock ticks twelve people wish each other a very happy new year. People celebrate the end of the year happily and with a lot of excitement.  They eat good food, there’s a party thrown at houses, people invite each other for a get-together and enjoy the last day of the year.

According to the Gregorian calendar, the New Year is celebrated in a similar fashion in all the culture. It is also considered as the civil day by most countries. The Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Tibetan celebrate the New Year on a different day. Because the Time Zones of the country differs, therefore, the celebration time is also different from each other. New Year’s Eve is the most awaited time of the year and it is also marked as a big social gathering. Many Christians also attend watch night service and the celebration usually continues until the midnight and bring in to the New Year that is 1st January.

A lot of events also takes place during this time of the year and people wait anxiously to bring in their new year with joy. New Year is also marked as the time when people plan on taking new resolutions for the year like giving up on sugar, weight loss, being. Honest, get married and many different kinds of resolutions. It is a fun thing to do and it keeps people motivated as well. New Year is also marked as a public holiday and it is celebrated every year on 1st January. People step out their houses in the evening to be a part of the social gatherings.
